hello peeps, today we'll be talking about jollof rice, well specifically JOLLOF BAKED RICE. Jollof rice  is indisputably the single most popular food in west African and is making a statement across the the continent.

what makes this dish legendary is the fact that its quite easy to prepare and its ingredients are very easy to come by. so we are going to add a new creative twist  to the conventional way of preparing this dish using an oven.

so lets start by measuring all the ingredients and then put in a ½ baking sheet pan, cover lid with aluminum  foil to help retain heat. Heat for about 65-75 minutes after which you remove and serve, I bet you'll be blown by the results

  • preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Rinse rice thoroughly  with water. put in a half sheet baking pan
  •  in a half sheet baking pan Mix all the ingredients Instead so that everything is well mixed.
  • cover tightly  with aluminium foil which helps retain heat.
  • gently placed in the oven and let it cook for about 65 to 75 minutes. 
  • Then you carefully remove the foil and fluff rice with a fork so it mixes evenly.Finally you  serve warm. 

  • 1 medium size onion(chopped)
  • 1 14 ounce can tomatoes paste
  • rice (discretion is advised)
  • ½ cup cooking oil
  • 2 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 teaspoon of chicken bouillon
  • 4 cups chicken broth/water
  • 1 tables garlic powder 
  • 1 tablespoon of paprika 
  • 2 tablespoon of hot pepper
  • 1 pound fish/beef/chicken
